Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Better Lunchbags. (now, how to categorise...ecology, science, craft?)

I love the way having kids motivates me to do better than I would without them. We are out and about for lunch a lot and having been chucking away an awful lot of plastic sandwich bags as a result. Today was our first attempt at making our own reusable, wax-coated fabric sandwich wraps. We followed these very useful directions from Mommypotamous. http://www.mommypotamus.com/diy-reusable-food-wrap/   

This was ds6's first attempt; we test drove it today and it did a great job. Very easy to clean afterwards.
