Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Chocolate

We had a last minute trip to see chocolate being made by http://www.the-chocolate-tree.co.uk today. They are one of only 5 companies making chocolate from the bean in the U.K. We got to try varieties of bean from Peru, Ecuador and Madagascar and several different types of finished product. We are also part of a new group that will be visiting various different food producers starting with an egg farm. Seeing food being produced will hopefully help us all to appreciate more fully the food we buy and eat. 
(And yes, the chocolate smelt and tasted amazing!)
