Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Tax and Fire

We've been learning about how West Africa became rich by taxing salt and gold passing through it. Our kitchen is in a similarly strategic position between Daddy's office and the rest of the house. Having a kettle in it makes it a bit of a draw for him too so we decided to tax him for passing through. 20p made on Day 1.


Watch duty is a bit of a grind, though.


On leave in the afternoon and a wonderfully informative trip to North Berwick fire station. Really grateful to the guys there for such a super talk.
