Solar System

We learnt about Copernicus and Galileo with 'The Story of the World' this week. I didn't fancy the activities from the book and instead found some fun stuff on the Internet. Here is the relative size of the planets shown in fruit.

Then, to illustrate the distances between them we left the Earth (cherry tomato) with Daddy in his office,

got on our bike spaceships

and cycled 500 metres to the sun (which was a bit warm, hence the dancing around on tiptoes).
