Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Summer is different for us, even though we school all year round. There are fewer weekly classes, more one-off things like summer camps and lots of outdoors. Struan and I had a lovely time at the beach with our local group today while Aly did a drama course in town. Another BBQ tomorrow with our Edinburgh group.

Meanwhile, morning school goes on. Here is Struan's latest poetry memorisation. I've started using substituted ones for him instead of the First Language Lessons recommendations. He already knows them off by heart having heard Aly recite them! 

Also this week, Aly finished off Writing With Ease 3.
