Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Historic weaponry has taken over our life!

Ds6 is very into history and is a boy..... so since going to a Historic Scotland jousting event last week we have been treated to an array of demonstrations and reenactments including the lost art of laundry target jousting. Bit concerned that the bamboo cane javelins seem to be penetrating the hedge entirely and ending up in our neighbours garden. Fingers crossed no-one happens to be passing at the wrong time.....Anyway, at least I can be sure he is going to love next years history as we will be on to The Story of the World 2: Middle Ages.
