Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Viking Adventure!

We have started going on joint homeschool history trips/short family holidays. Our latest was down to York on a Viking adventure. The boys are well versed in all things Viking thanks to Usborne and their Time Traveller Book of Viking Raiders. Here are some longboats returning from a successful monastery raid.

Jorvik was wonderful, with much to see and informative and enthusiastic Vikings on hand to explain everything.

We also went to Dig! And this went down a storm! They have 4 'archaeological dig-pits' rigged up for kids to excavate and we were allowed to handle lots of real finds. Super highly recommended!
