Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

Sunny times!

Some days home ed. just feels like, well, a bit of a skive to be honest. Today was just such a day; largely because it was super sunny! We did school as normal. Here's ds7 doing his extra history reading while ds5 did spelling.


We made sort-of-Aztec-style eagle banners which looked scary enough to act as extra scarecrows for the boys' raised beds.


Then our local group; which was the really easy bit. 4 hours sitting around in the sun while the kids played.


Then home for a South American dinner (nachos!) to celebrate our history topic again.
