Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

A Week at the Theatre

We are going to the theatre three times this week, as there are two great festivals on in Edinburgh at the moment. The first is the Imaginate! children's theatre festival. We saw Bambert's Book of Lost Stories by Aussie company Barking Gecko. Really interesting and challenging themes about creativity, reality and purpose. The boys were very taken with how the cast moved fluidly between different roles. Today at the Traverse we saw Bounce by French company Arcosm. It wrapped up so may of the boys' interests: music, dance, creative writing, drama, gymnastics, and showed them how they can be put together into something at once simple and rich.
