Ds4 was reticent and lacking in confidence at first. I sat with him and we looked closely at what we could see. It was lovely to see him gain in confidence and enjoyment as we went along together, breaking the scene down into parts.
Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

We are using Artistic Pursuits as our Art curriculum this year. I have found having a scheduled art slot once a week means that the boys are more likely to experiment with drawing the rest of the time. The curriculum asks them to look at a work by an artist; answering questions that require them to look more closely than they might otherwise. There is then a project based on a technique exhibited by the painting. This week we focused on composition. The boys picked a corner of the lounge to draw. Ds6 threw himself into it straight away..
