Hello

Hello and welcome to our blog. We are a family of 4 and have been home educating since our eldest son would have started school in 2012. Dh and I share the H.E duties between us. We're going to try blogging partly to encourage us to reflect on what we're doing and partly to share what we're up to with anybody who may be interested. As a family we are all really enjoying home ed. so if we help in any way to support others or to help spread the word then that would be wonderful.

First Day Not Back at School!

We had a lovely day today. Instead of the boys starting P1 and P3 we had our annual cake-for-breakfast party...

...then school, including starting Artistic Pursuits 1....

Then we headed out (Struan with jingle bells on his feet) to the Festival to see a play based on Noggin the Nog...

...and finished up with a lovely walk by the river with other home ed. friends. Feeling very happy with the decisions we have made for the boys' childhoods/education. X

  1. What a lovely day. I particularly love the cake-for-breakfast idea - that's a happy memory your children will always remember.

As for Noggin the Nog - ah, that brings back happy memories of reading those books as a child. Didn't know there was a play based on the books.

  2. Yes, it's really fun. We've done it for 3 years now. Here's a link to the Noggin the Nog people. It was a lovely show. We all laughed a lot. http://nogginthenogblog.wordpress.com
